Grace Family,

Happy Tuesday! Here is an update about all the things going on at Grace.

COVID-19 Update

Yesterday, Governor DeWine announced that businesses will slowly begin to open. On May 4th, businesses will open, and retail & consumer stores will open the following week. He heavily encouraged everyone to wear a mask every time they leave their house.

In light of this, the church building will remain closed, but a majority of our staff will begin working from the office. Because of this, starting May 4th, we will no longer use the 937-766-1777 number, but we will return to using the normal office phone number: 937-766-2391.

All church activities and ministries are still cancelled until further notice. The church staff can be reached by email (please indicate who you would like to contact) or by calling the church office at 937-766-1777 during regular business hours (M–Th: 8–5; F: 8–4). This number will change May 4th as stated above.

Update from Pastor Craig

Pastor Craig shared another update on Monday!

Sharing and Meeting Needs

We are trying to keep up with all of our members, but we would love for you to join us in this effort! If you connect with someone and they have a need (physical, financial, etc.), please email Kenton Durham (Pastoral Team Administrator) who is working with the staff, deacons, and elders to care for our people.

If you are willing to help meet various needs, please sign up to serve.

If you are in need of help, please share them with us!

If you are interested in helping Jessica Pollock make masks (sewing, donating supplies, or cutting fabric), please email Jessica Pollock.

Grace Missions

Matt Bennett, elder and chair of the Global Outreach Team, shared this past Sunday about some exciting opportunities we have to support worldwide efforts during the pandemic.

Because of your faithful giving, the GO Team & elders were able to give $2,000 to each of the following ministries:

  • Indigenous Ministries International

    • The Cooks have pioneered work in the refugee resettlement camps in Kurdistan (located at the juncture of Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Turkey) and seen a lot of fruit there in previous years. In light of COVID-19, this work becomes even more needy as refugee programs become forgotten as we face the aftermath of COVID-19, especially in light of social distancing being hard to achieve in a refugee camp.

  • Ken & Tia Reilly

  • The Passion Center in Malawi

  • A partner in Southeast Asia

God Is Still Working Testimonies

We would still love to hear about some of the ways that you have seen God working during quarantine!

If you would like to participate, please do the following:

  • Record a video (3 minutes or less) of you or your family, sharing how the Lord is working in this season.

  • Email Kenton Durham your testimony video.

You may see it featured during Sunday morning service, on Grace social media pages, or in other communications! The deadline to submit videos is Wednesday, May 6th. We would love to see more videos come in!

Final Remarks

Today we want to remind you that God is the great Promise Keeper. What promises does He keep? Countless promises made all throughout Scripture.

What promise do you need reminded of today? That He will turn everything for good? That nothing can separate us from His love for those in Christ? That sin confessed is forgiven and unrighteousness cleansed? That He will give you rest? That He will give you peace? Or maybe another of His many promises?

Whatever promise of God you need today, go to His Word, find the hope of Christ displayed, and cling to promises that have been made by a faithful and steadfast God.

We love and miss you all and are eager for the day when we can be together again!

Blessings,
Grace Leadership
