Why We Serve
As followers of Christ, we believe that God has called us to serve Him by serving others, using our gifts to meet the needs of others and demonstrate His love. This requires us to consider others as more important than ourselves, selflessly and sacrificially giving of ourselves in response to the way God has loved us. Serving is one of the best ways to connect with our church family and is an essential part of maintaining our unity and growing toward maturity.
As Paul writes in Galatians, "for you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'” (Gal. 5:13-14)
Who Can Serve
Our desire is that every member of the Grace Family would be actively involved in serving because, as believers, serving is not just what we do but it is an expression of who we are. Since we believe service is an important part of being a church member, only those committed to the Grace Family as members are able to serve. Ways for Members to Serve
Adult Ministries exists to help adults at Grace to learn God’s Word, live God’s way, and light God’s world. This is done by providing opportunities for them to grow in their love and knowledge of God while also building relationship with adult members of the Grace Family.
Grace’s Care Ministry currently serves over 70 people in our congregation with identified needs. Our goal is to identify and respond to needs in the congregation. We want to empower other members to join us in this endeavor and give you the tools you need to care well for your brothers and sisters in Christ.
We are currently in need of 10 volunteers who would be willing to work with our deacons to call and visit a church member who is in need. The regular commitment would be less than 2-3 hours per month.
