Grace Family,

Here is another update sharing some unique ways you can serve and minister in this season.

Passion Week Updates

As we approach Good Friday and Easter Sunday, each day of Passion Week, Pastor Craig will be sending out an email sharing about what was going on in Jesus' time as well as other resources from our staff.

If you do not already receive the Pastor's Update (normally on Fridays) you can sign up for his Passion Week emails.

A New Way to Serve

As many of you are aware, a lot of healthcare facilities are in desperate need of more Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Our local healthcare professionals are severely in need of more PPE.

We have recently gotten connected (via Neltson Marvin) to someone (Jessica Pollock, who grew up in Cedarville and works at Cutting Edge Salon) who is currently making homemade masks that are washable and fit over N95 & surgical masks, or can be worn by themselves.

Here are a few ways you can help her in this effort:

  1. You can sew. It's an easy pattern that she can share with you.

  2. You can donate unused quilting fabric.

  3. You can cut fabric into 9x7" rectangles.

If you are interested in helping her in this much-needed service, please email Jessica Pollock.

A New Way to Share the Gospel

Saturday, The Gospel Coalition hosted a National Day of Prayer and Fasting. Many of our members participated in this special day. In the evening, they had a special time of worship and prayer.

During this time, someone shared about a unique way we all can take to social media platforms and share how Jesus has changed our lives. For more on the background of this initiative, you can visit the TGC website.

The leadership at Grace would love for as many of us to participate as possible to share the life-changing power of Jesus and to invite people to watch our online Easter service.

Here are some instructions:

  1. Record a short 3–5 min. video sharing how Jesus has changed your life.

  2. Share it on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.

  3. In your post, use the hashtag #JesusChangedMyLife.

  4. Finally, tag our Grace Baptist accounts and invite people to watch our Easter Sunday service: on Facebook (Gracebaptistchurchcedarville) & on Instagram (@gracebaptistoh).

If you need any assistance, don't hesitate to email our staff.

Sharing and Meeting Needs

Help us care for our family! We encourage you to email, to call, to text, to reach out in any way to those around you. We are trying to keep up with all of our members, but we would love for you to join us in this effort! If you connect with someone and they have a need (physical, financial, etc.), please email Kenton Durham (Pastoral Team Administrator) who is working with the staff, deacons, and elders to care for our people.

If you are willing to help meet various needs, please sign up to serve.

If you are in need of help, please share them with us!

Grace Missions

Watch the video update from Wade and Tara McComas, missionaries serving in South Africa, about how we can be praying for them in this time!

Church Office

As of now, the church offices (and building) are closed. The church staff can be reached by email (please indicate who you would like to contact) or by calling the church office at 937-766-1777 during regular business hours (M–Th: 8–5; F: 8–4). NOTE: this is a different number than our regular office number, so that we can answer calls while away from the office.

We will continue to stream our services through the Grace Facebook page and website. Each week, one of our pastors will host the Facebook chat during the service!

FYI, all church activities and ministries will be cancelled until further notice.

If you have any questions, please email our staff.

Grace News Newsletter

In light of sending out an update every week regarding COVID-19, we decided to pause sending our weekly Grace News newsletter for the time being. However, we still want you all to have access to the various resources found in the newsletter.

For pastoral updates, sign up for Pastor Craig's Friday Pastor's Update.

Other Resources

Finally, here is a list of resources available to you at this time (click on the words to access the resource):

As always, we miss you all very much! Continue to strive with one another for the faith of the Gospel! Continue to check in with other Grace family members during this season of social distancing. May we continue to follow Christ faithfully together in this time.

Blessings,
Grace Leadership
