Adam
Adam Hammett serves as Pastor for Administration at Grace where he oversees staff communication and organization, finances, facilities, and pastoral care and counseling. Adam grew up on the central coast of CA in Santa Maria, where he received Christ at the age of 16. He studied mathematics at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, also receiving minors in computer science, chemistry, and Bible. He met his wife, Rachael, while studying abroad in Israel during his junior year at Westmont. They have been married since 2001, and have four children: Isabelle, Madison, Daniel, and Esther. While Adam’s initial formal training is in higher mathematics – obtaining a PhD in combinatorial probability from “The” Ohio State University in 2007 – he sensed God’s call on his life to vocational ministry after serving for more than 20 years in higher education. He accepted Grace Baptist’s call to serve in his current role in 2023, and is eager to facilitate growth and see the people of God flourish in this setting, all for God’s glory and our good.
